L&R at the EWMA Conference 2016!

11th to 13th May 2016 in Bremen, Germany

Experience the future today!

With passion – that’s how we develop and perfect new solutions to problems in wound management; that’s the spirit that drives innovation. L&R has been embodying its philosophy of solving a problem optimally and with the goal of maximizing patient well-being for over 160 years. L&R’s innovative spirit is rooted in a unique, implemented innovation process. In this respect, exchanging ideas with users and customers is as important to us as collaborating with manufacturers, tertiary education institutions, research institutes and innovation fora. This interdisciplinary, patient-oriented approach is what allows us to develop solutions in the areas of debridement, wound care, negative pressure therapy and compression: innovative products for debridement along with dressings and system solutions for phase-oriented wound management and compression.

This page offers you a glimpse of what awaits you at the L&R trade fair booth and in our symposia and workshops. We will also be offering a virtual version of our trade fair booth for all those who are interested but are not able to attend the EWMA in Bremen.

Our focal points

Debridement with Debrisoft® and Debrisoft® Lolly

Debridement is an essential aspect of wound management, as a clean wound bed is a prerequisite for optimal wound healing. Depending on the wound situation, there are a number of different methods available for removing necrotic tissue, deposits and foreign bodies from wounds.

For debridement and cleaning superficial wounds as well as the skin around them, L&R has the innovative products Debrisoft and Debrisoft Lolly in its portfolio for highly efficient results.

Wound care with Suprasorb® P + PHMB and Lomatuell® Pro

Treatment of acute or chronic wounds requires sensitive management carefully adapted to the wound healing phases with appropriate wound dressings. It is important to avoid infection in the wound and to promote wound healing in a way that is effective, lasting and gentle on the patient.

With its Lomatuell Pro dressing, L&R is expanding its range of innovative wound management products to include a gel-forming contact net. This dressing reduces the risk of the dressing adhering to the wound and the wound margin, and it supports the wound healing process.

As of April, L&R will also be offering a new PU foam dressing under the name Suprasorb P + PHMB which is specially designed for infected wounds and those at risk of infection. The perforated wound contact layer absorbs wound exudate quickly and safely because the small-pore PU foam exerts excellent capillary action directly on the wound bed. The PHMB stored in the foam acts both in the dressing itself and in the wound at the same time.

Negative pressure therapy with Suprasorb® CNP

The use of negative pressure is one of the most innovative approaches in wound management. In recent years, this treatment method has also proven itself in routine clinical practice in hospitals. Nowadays, it is also widely used in outpatient departments, as it can be easily combined with other wound treatment methods in modern wound care.

With the Suprasorb CNP therapy system, L&R is setting new standards in treating wounds with negative pressure.

Compression with Rosidal® K, Rosidal® TCS/Actico® 2C, ReadyWrap™ and Hosiery Kit

For the wound healing process in lower leg ulcers, the third important step following debridement and local therapy of the wound is the strong compression in phlebology and lymphology. Compression therapy generally makes use of compression bandages, ready-for-use dressings or stockings. In general, these systems are distinguished by the different levels of resting and working pressure exerted by the varying elasticity of the source materials. As a specialist in compression therapy, L&R offers a wide range of highly effective individual products appropriate to individual clients and indications that can be combined as well as ready-made economical product sets. L&R is Europe’s leading supplier in the compression and lymph therapy segment. The British subsidiary of L&R, Activa Healthcare Ltd., is the market leader in compression stockings in Great Britain.
