With effect from November 1, 2008, the Lohmann & Rauscher Group, a leading international manufacturer and supplier of medical devices, has acquired 100 % of the shares of the UK based company Activa Healthcare Ltd., located in Burton-upon-Trent (Staffordshire).
Activa Healthcare Ltd. is a market leader in compression therapy (compression stockings / bandages) and a fast growing wound care company in the UK. The company will achieve a turnover of approximately 12 million GBP in 2008 and employs 70 people.
According to an agreement between the parties, further details concerning the transaction will not be disclosed.
