On January 1, 2008, MedPro Novamed AG, a Swiss company located in Flawil, changed its corporate name: The company is now called “Lohmann & Rauscher AG”. This step follows the corporate strategy of internationalisation. It enables the company to use its know-how still on a more extended level. However, this change of name will not cause any further changes for employees, customers, or partners of the company.
MedPro Novamed AG, a sales & marketing company in the field of medical devices for the Swiss market, was founded in 1997 as a joint venture of the Swiss based FLAWA AG and Rauscher KG based in Vienna. As of January 1, 2006, MedPro Novamed AG became a 100% subsidiary of the international Lohmann & Rauscher-Group. This step based on the Group´s international strategy supported the positive development on the Swiss market, one of the most sophisticated markets for medical devices worldwide.
As of January 1, 2008, MedPro Novamed AG was renamed as
„Lohmann & Rauscher AG“
which represents another important step towards its integration into the Lohmann & Rauscher-Group. According to the corporate strategy of the Lohmann & Rauscher-Group, the Swiss Lohmann & Rauscher AG should become a leading company on the local medical devices market. The objective is to contribute by the Group´s expertise and future-oriented developments to the benefit of the Swiss customers and the Swiss healthcare system.
There are no significant changes for employees, customers, and partners of the former MedPro Novamed AG. The headquarters will remain in Flawil, and all jobs as well as all existing contracts will be kept. This change of name represents the opportunity to further use the extensive know-how within the Lohmann & Rauscher Group still on an extended level - an important added value for this market.
