On October 16, 2007 a serious fire blazed up at the L&R plant in Nova Paká, which destroyed a major part of the manufacturing facilities. No L&R staff member in Nova Paká was injured during this fire.
The manufacturing facilities which are not concerned by this fire will presumably put into operation again on Thursday, October 18, 2007.
L&R has already started activities in order to avoid major delivery failure. At the same time, the activities concerning the reconstruction of the plant have also been started and all efforts are made to resume full manufacturing capacity at L&R Nova Paká as soon as possible.
L&R wishes to thank all persons who played an active role in the fire-fighting activities and who will support L&R in this difficult situation.
