Cellacare Shoulder/Arm Orthoses are ready-for-use supports which function on the same principle as Gilchrist or Dessault Supports. They are designed to immobilise the shoulder and upper arm and are used in cases of severe sprains or fractures in the shoulder or upper arm, such as acromioclavicular joint separation, rotator cuff injury, shoulder luxation and injuries to the sternoclavicular articulation.
Greatest freedom of movement without pressure
This ready-for-use orthosis can be put on quickly involving only a few movements. When wearing it patients feel neither pressure nor pain (from the orthosis) because the injured shoulder remains free. Furthermore, therapeutic exercises and wound care can be performed without having to remove the support. It is not a further impediment to daily personal hygiene. The orthosis has flat, padded straps made from skin-friendly material.
