Executive Management Team

Leon Hoare
Managing Director

Bringing a wealth of experience in healthcare to lead L&R, Leon Hoare has made a significant and positive impact on the medical device sector in ANZ and across the Asia-Pacific region. He spent 24 years at Smith & Nephew, where he was Managing Director ANZ for all divisions, a past President of the Asia-Pacific Advanced Wound Management Division, and also led BSN Medical for ANZ. Prior to that, Leon Hoare held numerous positions in marketing, division and general management at S&N. As an industry leader, he has been a board member and Vice-Chair of the Medical Device Industry Association for Australia (MTAA). Leon Hoare's undergrad was in Applied Science (Latrobe) and postgrad in Business (Monash). He also holds GAICD.

Andrew Oldale
Finance Director

Andrew Oldale comes to L&R with extensive knowledge and global experience in the medical device industry. Holding numerous roles over 18 years with Smith & Nephew, he was the Vice President Finance of the North America Advanced Wound Management Division (AWM) for 3 years followed by a 1-year secondment integrating ArthroCare into Smith & Nephew following the acquisition. Prior to that, he was the Finance Director of ANZ and Asia-Pacific AWM, based in Australia. He has also worked in various audit roles in the UK after completing his accounting degree at London Metropolitan University. Andrew Oldale maintains membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and the AICD.

Michael Rogers
Commercial Director – ANZ

Joining L&R in October 2016, Michael Rogers brings to L&R decades of sales and marketing management experience in healthcare. Most recently, he was working as an independent consultant with companies including Coloplast, BUPA and Integra. Prior to that, he was the Sales & Marketing Manager for Omnigon in ostomy/wound care and spent 10 years at Smith & Nephew leading the Victorian/Tasmanian Hospital Sales team and as a Product Manager for the chronic wound division. After completing a Bachelor of Science at Latrobe University, Michael Rogers began his career with sales, marketing and manufacturing roles at AMRAD, a pharmaceutical / biotech company, which was later acquired by Merck Sharpe & Dhome.
