Kompresivna terapija čini temelj uspješnog liječenja kod venskih i limfatičnih bolesti nogu (sa ili bez edema). Osnovni princip kompresije sastoji se u tome da se postigne pritisak na krvne žile, limfu i okolno tkivo. Time se potiče venski protok krvi i odvođenje limfne tekućine.
