Compression therapy plays a critical role in the management and healing of venous leg ulcers, chronic wounds and lymphatic conditions. Compression therapy improves venous blood flow and reduces oedema, to support the wound healing process.
Under the Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme (CWCS), patients* can access L&R’s advanced compression therapy solutions, designed to enhance the treatment of chronic wounds and associated conditions.

- Rosidal® K (Short-Stretch Non-Cohesive Bandaging) – Provides consistent and effective pressure, ideal for managing oedema and venous conditions with high working pressure and low resting pressure. Made of 100% cotton.
- Rosidal® SC (Soft Compression Underlayer Padding) – A soft, dual-sided padding layer made of breathable cotton and foam for comfort, protection, and contouring.
- Rosidal® CC (Short-Stretch Cohesive Compression Bandage) – Is a cohesive compression bandage that provides reliable, low-profile compression with excellent conformability, designed for secure and effective multi-layer compression therapy.
- Rosidal® TCS (Short-Stretch Two-Component System) – Is a two-layer short-stretch compression system consisting of:

What is the Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme (CWCS)?
The CWCS is an Australian Federal Government program that provides fully funded wound care consumables to eligible people with chronic wounds related to diabetes.

Supports better access to wound care in the community
Active as of 18th June 2025
Who is eligible for the CWCS?
Patients must meet clinical, age, and living situation criteria to access funded products through the scheme.
Aged 65 or older (or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) AND:
Living with diabetes, and
Have one or more chronic wounds* (e.g. diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, pressure injuries), and
Living at home (not in hospital or residential aged care), and
- Referred or assessed by an eligible healthcare professional
*Chronic wounds are wounds that have not progressed through normal healing stages in 30 days.
Which health professionals can access the scheme?
Clinicians must complete training and register via PRODA to access the CWCS portal and order products.
