The globally active medical device producer Lohmann & Rauscher (L&R) is expanding its business operations in North Africa. Following the establishment of a subsidiary in Tunis on March, 16th 2017, the full-service provider, which already operates branch offices in Algeria and Morocco, now has a presence in a third country in the Maghreb region.
L&R has already been active in the Tunisian medical device market for a number of years through its third-party distributors. However, following the establishment of Lohmann & Rauscher Tunisie s.a.r.l. (LRTN), the company now has a subsidiary in Tunisia dedicated to marketing its products and driving forward its operations in the country, particularly in Modern Wound Care, Compression and Hosiery, Supports and Orthoses, and OR Products segments.
The L&R Tunisia team is affiliated with L&R’s French subsidiary, enabling it to profit from the company’s experience in the Algerian and Moroccan markets. The company will continue to manage sales in collaboration with its existing partners in the country.
