Suprasorb A is ideal for the care of heavily exuding, superficial or deep wounds. A highly absorbent wound dressing, Suprasorb A is made from calcium alginate derived from natural brown seaweed. The soft dressing conforms easily to any wound base, it even fills deep wounds.
Suprasorb A absorbs large volumes of exudate by gel formation which creates a moist wound environment. The gel is formed through an exchange of calcium ions from the wound dressing with sodium ions in the wound exudate.
