Dr. Thomas Eberlein passed away

L&R mourns the loss of its long-standing consultant in the field of science, clinical studies and wound treatment projects

L&R was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Thomas Eberlein. He passed away on March 21, 2025, suddenly and unexpectedly, after a very short illness.
Dr. Thomas Eberlein was a doctor, lecturer, director of educational institutions, scientist and speaker. The focus of his medical, scientific and teaching work was on wounds and adequate wound treatment and healing

Dr. Thomas Eberlein was associated with L&R for over 20 years and was highly valued by the L&R management and its employees - as a scientific consultant and supporter in the development of the scientific network, as a constant advisor and mentor for numerous clinical projects, including international ones. Back in 2003, he gave the first lecture for L&R at the DGFW Congress (German Society for Wound Healing and Wound Treatment) in Augsburg on the subject of "Chronic stagnant wounds with the Suprasorb G-C-P combination".

Dr. Klemens Schulz, CPO at L&R:
"We mourn with Thomas' wife & family and all his relatives & friends and wish everyone who knew and appreciated him much strength in this difficult time.
With his great expertise, charisma and high reputation, Thomas impressed not only people in the wound care community, but all those with whom he worked. Above all, Thomas was a person with very high ethical values, highly educated, and a fantastic discussion partner. I and many of my L&R colleagues will miss him very much. Thomas’ death leaves us with a painful gap that will be difficult to fill."
