Vliwaktiv® Ag

    Absorbent Activated Charcoal Dressing, rope with silver

    Vliwaktiv Ag combines the odour-binding characteristics of activated charcoal with the antimicorbial action of the silver. Available as absorbent dressing and rope. The product is suitable for the treatment of critically colonized wounds, infected and/or offensive smelling wounds and wounds with an increased risk of infection.

    Product composition

    Activated charcoal fibres impregnated with silver, polyester/polyethylene
    The absorbent dressing also contains: polypropylene, cellulose, hotmelt adhesive (synthetic polymer with resins and waxes)

    Fields of application

    • for critically colonized and infected and/or offensive smelling wounds
    • for wounds at higher risk of infection
    • Absorbent dressing:
      • for heavily exuding superficial wounds
    • Rope:
      • for packing deep wounds
      • as wound dressing for superficial wounds


    • binds wound odour and wound exudate
    • due to the silver component (Ag) has an antibacterial effect
    • retains endotoxins

    To note

    • do not cut because activated charcoal particles could get into the wound
