Vliwasorb sensitive border is a superabsorbent, self-adhesive wound dressing with a silicone wound contact layer for moderately to highly exuding wounds.

Thanks to its high absorption and retention capacity even under compression, Vliwasorb sensitive border protects the wound and the area around it and reduces the risk of maceration. The multi-layered construction facilitates fluid management to provide an optimal moist wound environment, which leads to the promotion of faster wound closure. Easy application thanks to user-friendly adherent edge, which facilitates the application of the dressing and allows repositioning. The soft silicone can minimise pain to patients and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin. The larger pores of the silicone adhesive layer enable the absorption of viscous exudates. The exudate is quickly passed through the silicone layer into the dressing, which protects the wound and the surrounding skin from maceration and reduces the risk of maceration. By trapping the exudate in the wound dressing the microbial count is reduced and the bacteria are removed during dressing changes. Thanks to its stable shape retention – even when used in a vertical position – Vliwasorb sensitive border offers greater patient comfort and peace of mind: Clothing and bed linen are protected from soaking by the practical clothing protection layer.
