Second place in the innovation ranking went to Ottobock AT, the well-known supplier of manual wheelchairs, electric and sports wheelchairs through to rehab baby carriages and much more.) Third place went to the company sendance; the company develops stretchable sensor nets for wearables that are used to measure the pressure distribution on orthoses, prostheses and shoe insoles.
The “Innovation Winner 2025” study is based on a comprehensive data analysis by the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research. In total, data on around 1,900 Austrian industrial, service and retail companies was analyzed. Three data areas were collected and analyzed:
1. Public reputation for research, product innovation and digitalization: Around 119,000 statements about the company in the media and social media in the period from 1.4.2024 - 31.3.2025 were analyzed and evaluated. (weighting 5o%)
2. Research and development: Determination of the number of state-funded research projects with universities and patent applications in 2024 (weighting 25%)
3. Prizes and awards: Nominations and winnings of innovation and research prizes in 2024 (weighting 25%)
