    Product composition

    The head of the Debrisoft Lolly is composed of monofilament polyester fibres and is sewn with a blue, X-ray detectable polypropylene thread (containing barium sulphate and polyester). The interior of the head is coated with polyacrylate. The head is sewn onto a polypropylene handle.

    Fields of application 

    Debridement of deep wounds - including wounds from invasive surgery - to superficial wounds, e.g.:

    • diabetic ulcers
    • arterial and venous ulcers
    • pressure ulcers
    • postoperative wound healing and wound healing by secondary intention
    • trauma, burns, scalds

    To note 

    • to be used for debridement only – must not be left on the wound
    • can be used each time the wound dressing is changed, as required
    • should be used until the wound is thoroughly cleansed and has progressed from the cleansing phase to the granulation phase


    Tip

    • A very good outcome can be achieved even with highly keratotic or necrotic wound debris, provided the wound has been previously treated with autolytic debridement
    • the soft fibre side may be moistened with any common wound rinsing solution
